  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Wash, peel, and chop yams into ½” chunks.
  3. Combine yams, oil, salt, and pepper in roasting pan. Toss gently to coat and stick in the oven.
  4. Stir the yams at 15 minutes and again at 30 minutes. This will help prevent them from drying out or sticking to the pan.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until tender.
